David Schellenberger

Founder & President

David Schellenberger is from Southern Indiana and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and professional selling from Ball State University. David joined the dental industry upon graduation taking a job as a sales specialist with Henry Schein Dental. In his five years with Henry Schein Dental, David received over 100 hours of training on the business of dentistry, visited over 3,000 dental offices, and consulted dozens of dentists on their business.

After falling in love with the dental community, David wanted to make a contribution and bring the best of private dentistry and the opportunities of “corporate” dentistry together. David takes pride in providing the best possible opportunity for dentists and team members to pursue their career vision.

In his free time, David loves spending quality time with his wife, family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, and rooting for the Hoosiers.

Dr. Shannon Vickery, DMD

Louisville Dentist

Dr. Shannon Vickery DMD is dedicated to promoting smiles and optimal oral health. She is a committed and experienced dentist with a proven track record in delivering compassionate dental care with over 23 years of experience. After graduating from Samford University with a degree in Biology, she earned her DMD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001. After working for 2 years in Montana with the Indian Health Service, she has delivered general dental care in a private practice setting, often specializing in pediatric dental care. Dr. Vickery seeks to develop lasting relationships with her patients by delivering care in a way that fosters trust and produces long-term excellent results. She consistently engages in continuing education courses in order to provide the best treatment possible for every dental situation.

Dr. Vickery has been married for 27 years, and she has 3 children. Beyond the dental office, she enjoys working on DIY home projects, exercising, and, most of all, serving her church family.

She sings in choir, serves in children’s ministry, and volunteers in many capacities within her church. She has had many opportunities to serve others by volunteering her time to deliver dental services and by taking part in international mission trips. Known for her warm chairside manner, Dr. Vickery takes pride in creating a comfortable environment for patients of all ages as she delivers dentistry with compassion and excellence.

Dr. Christina Whitsett, DMD

Louisville Dentist

Dr. Christina Whitsett is so pleased to be joining the Affinity Dental team. Dr. Whitsett graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2007, then earned her certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry through a residency program at University Hospital Cincinnati. For the past 12 years, Dr. Whitsett owned a private dental practice in Shelbyville, Kentucky. After more than a decade of practice ownership, she is happy to be able to balance her work and family life by joining Affinity Dental.

Dr. Whitsett is a native of Louisville though she now lives in Shelbyville with her husband, three children, and beloved boxer dog, Benny. She enjoys spending time with her family, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and crossword puzzles. She loves many facets of dentistry; however, getting to know her patients and developing long-lasting relationships with them is most important to her.

Dr. Eric Sauk, DDS

Louisville Dentist

Dr. Sauk completed his undergraduate career at the University of California, Irvine earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2001. Dr. Sauk then went ahead and earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Southern California in 2005. He has been practicing dentistry for 10 years. Dr. Sauk also served 10 years in the USMC as a reserves staff sergeant. He is originally from Livonia, Michigan.

Dr. Robyn Keeling, DMD

Sellersburg Dentist

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Robyn Keeling attended college at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry – earning her DMD in 2002. From there, she began her journey in the dental field.

Initially practicing as a pediatric dentist, Dr. Keeling credits this role with building her interpersonal skills, allowing her to approach every patient with compassion, kindness, and competence. Currently, her primary specialties in dental practice are family and cosmetic dentistry – ensuring that each of her patients achieves and maintains a healthy, beautiful smile. With many years of experience in the field, Dr. Keeling feels that the most rewarding part about being a dentist is having the opportunity to connect with her patients and make a positive impact in their lives.

Outside the office, Dr. Keeling enjoys spending time with her three daughters – Avery, Lila, and Lucy. In addition, she also loves to draw, paint, design, and create; this passion for artistic expression is part of what makes her such an incredible dentist, as she is dedicated to blending art and science to build brighter smiles and better futures for those she serves.

Dr. Daniel Stearn, DMD

Eminence Dentist

Dr. Stearn is a third-generation dentist originally from New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate work at Ramapo College before earning his D.M.D in 2017 at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, the Alma matter of his father and great uncle.

Following dental school, he decided to pursue a 1-year AEGD residency at NYU College of Dentistry where he further advanced his skills in all aspects of general dentistry. He has continually taken part in continuing education on topics such as invisalign and clear aligners, restorative and implant dentistry, and endodontics. He worked in private practice in midtown Manhattan and northern New Jersey for 3 years before moving to Lexington, KY so his wife could complete her dental training at UK.

They have now settled in the Louisville area with their Wire Fox Terrier Mr. Bob. Dr. Stearn is excited to be able to serve the community in Eminence for all their dental needs.

Dr. Brett Allen, DMD

Albany Dentist

Dr. Brett Allen, DMD comes to us with eight years of professional experience in dentistry, He has been immersed in the field of dentistry his entire life as his grandfather, great uncle, father, uncle, mother, and his wife are ALL dentist each making their own significant contributions to the dental profession. This lifetime exposure to dentistry has provided him with a unique, practical perspective and a deep appreciation for the impact of quality dental care on individual and community well-being.

Over the past 7.5 years, he proudly operated the only Medicaid dental clinic in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, where he worked tirelessly to provide essential dental care to underserved communities. His clinic became a vital resource for those in need, offering accessible care to patients who otherwise may have had no options. Additionally, he owned and operated a second dental practice in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he continued to offer quality care to the hard-working people of Bowling Green.

He earned his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Louisville, which provided him a strong academic foundation that complements his hands-on experience.

Being back in the Louisville metro area, he is excited to continue serving the community he calls home.

Dr. Joanna Higdon, DMD

Louisville Dentist

A lifelong “Louisvillian,” Dr. Joanna Higdon obtained both her biology degree and her DMD from the University of Louisville. Her passion lies in providing comprehensive care for patients to ensure healthy, beautiful smiles. Dr. Higdon has experience working with patients with dental anxiety and takes pride in making her patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. She is a member of the ADA, KDA, and Louisville Dental Society.

Outside of the office, Dr. Higdon is an animal lover. She has a dog and cat, Wrigley and Frank, and frequently fosters for local shelters. She also enjoys working out, cooking, and spending time with family.
